The RoleAs Commercial Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate commercial operations with a focus on sustainable growth, profitability, and high-quality service delivery.
Working closely with senior leadership and reporting to the Service Director, you will provide commercial insight at a strategic level while ensuring operational delivery remains aligned with the organisation's long-term objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading commercial operations to support growth and profitability
Monitoring revenue recovery, margins, and cost performance
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities across contracts and customer accounts
Supporting the development of commercial strategies, customer proposals, and framework agreements
Strengthening long-term customer relationships through effective commercial management
Providing commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making
Driving continuous improvement in commercial processes and operational performance
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in a commercial, operational, or facilities management role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, or service environment
Strong financial and analytical capability, including experience with pricing, quotations, contracts, reporting, budgeting, and margin management
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
The ability to interpret financial information and apply it to commercial decisions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience using ERP, service management, or commercial systems
HND qualification or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
A qualification in Business Studies, Commercial Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one)
A full UK driving licence
